I'm Jacob and I live together with my cats in Vienna for the moment. I'm planning to buy a house with a nice garden, where the cats have room enough to indulge their play.

I was born in Poland. but lives in Vienna since 1990.

After I visited some cat shows I fell in love with the breed Maine Coon. This was followed by a long period of reading, searching and learning about the breed and breeding. I talked very much with other breeders to learn even more.

Finally 2007 I decided to adopt two sisters (Umira & Urwendi) from a polish cattery named „Samotna Gwiazda“ (“A lonesome Star”). These two cats should be the foundation of my breeding program. I called our own cattery after a special Maine Coon. She was a Brown Classic Tabby Female named “Cosey”. She won the first national cat show in America 1895. Some of the people think that cat breeders must be somehow weird or strange. You will be surprised!

Most of us are completely normal people who have their own lives beside the cat fancy. All my cats are my pets first. Of course I am happy when my cats are winning at the shows. But never this will be more important to me that the welfare of my cats!

I'm member of the ACU - Austrian Cats United and my cattery is TICA registrated. Breeding Maine Coons is my hobby and my cats share a big part of my life. I'm responsible for them and for their kittens. My small bunch of felines may roam free through the apartment – and of course they are never caged. They are allowed to sleep in my bed – if they want to. I do have a big Loggia which is protected by a fence. So the cats can watch the people on the streets, which they love to do.
